Performance
The Gehl V420 skid steer loader is a brilliant example of Gehl’s superior innovation and well thought out product development.
- The redesigned chassis helps with superior weight distribution, which further improves stability.
- The thick steel plate and heavy duty bolts and bushings strengthen the heavy duty loader.
- The electronic control of the engine and the electronic pedal and the electronic hand valves allow operation at partial acceleration, reducing sound levels and fuel consumption (not available with hand / foot controls).
Cabin
The operator compartment in the V420 compact loader provides a safe and comfortable working environment for operators of all sizes.
- The forward design of the cab improves the view of the ladle. The structure of protection against tipping and against objects in fall of level II is standard in the equipment.
- The standard mechanical suspension seat and the optional pneumatic suspension seat provide improved levels of comfort.
- The new folding side clamp bar and armrests with multiple adjustments improve operator safety and comfort.
- Extra-large side screens combined with a low profile lifting arm design provide a wide field of vision to the side work areas.

Controls
The Gehl V420 skid steer controls are ergonomically designed to reduce operator fatigue and increase productivity.
- Adjustable joystick handles provide easy operator control with minimal effort, reducing fatigue.
- The new upper left and upper right instrument panels provide easy reading and access to the switch.
- Pilot joystick controls or manual hand / foot controls provide maximum comfort, ease and controllability for the operator. Barra-T mechanical controls are also available.
- Infinitely adjustable proportional auxiliary hydraulic system.
- The Hydraloc ™ system applies brakes every time the operator lifts the grab bar, leaves the operator’s seat or turns off the ignition.

Lift arm
The vertical lift arm design of the V420 skid loader was created for maximum reach, superior strength and optimal operator visibility.
- The low profile lift arm design provides outstanding front and side visibility.
- The single-plane lift arm design features a high resistance synchronization link, rear upper channel support and large diameter pivot pins, providing the best vertical and lateral stiffness and strength, as well as exceptional rear visibility.
- The four-point support through cylinders with double bucket and two stop blocks of the lifting arm at the front of the main frame evenly distributes the digging forces.
Maintenance
We know that ease of service is very important for our customers. The V420 mini loader will surely exceed your expectations.
- The large engine cover is articulated and positioned by gas springs to help lift and hold it in place, and allows easy return to the closed / operational position.
- The large rear door opens easily on the right side hinges, allowing full access for service and maintenance.
- The collapsible cooler provides better access to the engine bay area.
- The entire cabin structure tilts backwards with a gas / spring strut for easy access to the internal service.
- Transmission chains and axial bearings are sealed systems that do not require maintenance.
- Coded wiring eliminates the guesswork of the electrical system identification.
- The cabin filter is located at the top of the operator structure, which allows you to extract more clean, fresh air and less waste.
- The rear side panels can be removed with the lifting arm in the raised or lowered position.
- The hydraulic tank measuring rod allows simple and quick hydraulic checks.
- Check the engine coolant quickly through the handy visual indicator.
